Facilities

The Family Health Lab is located in the Arts Building at the University of Saskatchewan. It features a large meeting room, a testing room and observation gallery, and student research space. We have access to various technologies that allows us to perform innovative research. Research is also conducted in conjunction with health care systems, such as the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

Current Research

Broadly speak our research focuses on improving health and mental health outcomes in children, youth, and families. Current projects in the FHL are examining:

  • Adolescent and young adult menstrual pain-related concerns and outcomes
  • Non-verbal communication in pediatric pain
  • Parental influences in pediatric pain
  • Mental health literacy in parents of adolescents
